Born in Marseille to Algerian parents, Zinedine Zidane is a true international player. A dominating stirker still at his peak, Zidane's rise to an elite player has left the all in his generation in his wake. A play-maker who can control the pace of an entire match, Zidane is the go-to guy when a team needs someone to count on. Coming to world-wide prominence in the 1998 World Cup, he lead France to the title with a two goal performance against Brazil. That same year he was named FIFA Footballer of the Year, European Footballer of the Year, and World Soccer World Player of the Year. In the two previous years he lead Juventus to the UEFA Champions League Finals.
