Final Match With Brazil

his final appearance for Brazil's national team, legendary
striker Romario scored his last goal and led his team to a
3-0 defeat of Guatemala in a friendly at Sao Paulo.
Visibly
moved during the Brazilian national anthem during the opening
ceremony, Romario alter scored in the 16th minute on a header
from eight yards out. It was his 71st goal in 84 appearances
for Brazil. He dedicated his goal to his daughter Ivy, who
was born recently with Down's Syndrome.
The
game was stopped in the 39th minute when Romario left the
field for a substitution. The 35,000 fans chanted his name
in his honor. The hero of the 1994 World Cup championship
team, he is second only to Pele in goals scored for Brazil.
