Controversial, but considerd one of the brighter stars of his generation, David Beckham began his professional career with Manchester United in 1994. He helped lead Manchester United to the FA Cup in 1996, and the following season began to establish himself as one of England's great players. In 1999 he was voted UEFA MVP as Manchester won the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League.
